Frances and Earl Drennen opened Manna Grocery and Deli in Tuscaloosa on April 29, 1980. Frances Drennen’ s desire to open a natural foods store came from a need to provide a service to the community that did not exist along with providing the best selection of natural foods and dietary
supplements available.

This past April Manna Grocery celebrated 40 years in the Tuscaloosa community with keen focus on customer service and providing healthy and clean foods to their customers. Frances served on the SENPA Board of Directors from 2003– 2012 and from 2013 – 2015 served as SENPA President.

Her passion for the natural products industry and innate nature of communication resonated in her leadership and desire to reinvigorate the SENPA Road Show to continue education for the independent retailer.
